Welcome to Sassy Pooch and Kitty Too, a family-owned pet grooming salon
proudly serving the Gilroy, California community for over 15 years. In 2019, my
husband Juan and I, Yolanda, took over the family business, continuing its legacy
with a renewed commitment to making every visit feel like home. From the
moment you and your pet step through our doors to the joyful reunion after their
grooming session, we strive to provide a caring and comfortable experience.
As lifelong pet owners, we understand the love and joy our furry friends bring. Our
pets—past and present, including Smokey, Pink, Cisko, Bean, and Loba—have been
beloved family members, which is why every pet that visits our salon becomes a
part of the Sassy Pooch family.
Our team is passionate about delivering the highest level of care:
- Juan, our Master Groomer, brings over 12 years of experience in dog and cat
grooming, ensuring expert techniques tailored to each breed. - Mckenna, our Groomer Apprentice, is dedicated to learning the art of grooming
and loves making pets look their best. - Rigoberto, our Professional Bather and Preparation Specialist, makes sure each

With over 15 years of grooming experience, Juan is the heart of Sassy Pooch and Kitty
Too. As a Master Groomer, he loves working with all breeds and takes pride in creating
a calm, relaxing environment for each pet. His technical expertise ensures that every
groom is tailored to your pet’s breed, keeping them not only looking their best but
feeling great, too. Juan’s passion for grooming shines through in every detail, making
sure every pet leaves the salon happy, comfortable, and picture-perfect.
Juan – Owner & Master Groomer
McKenna has been with Sassy Pooch and Kitty Too for over 2 years, learning and growing
as a Grooming Assistant. She loves working with double-coated breeds like Golden
Retrievers, Border Collies, Corgis, Aussies, and Shepherds. McKenna takes special care in
deshedding these pets, ensuring their coats are properly maintained and trimmed
according to their breed’s needs. She also enjoys adding creative touches, like accessories
or color, to give each pet a unique and stylish look when they go home.

As our Professional Bather and Preparation Specialist, Ivan ensures every pet is perfectly
